Op.Dr. Altay KARTAL
Gynecology, Obstetrics and IVF Specialist
Born in Kırcaali city in 1971 as the son of an agricultural engineer father and a kindergarten teacher mother. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education there.
In 1990, he graduated successfully from Kırcaali Western Languages High School, where he received English education.
In 1991, he enrolled in Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, English division. During his medical education,
In 1994, he completed an elective Pediatrics internship at Ufa State University Hospital in Russia, and
In 1995, he completed another elective Pediatrics internship at South Cleveland Hospital, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom.
In 1996, he was awarded the TEV Success Award by the Turkish Education Foundation.
In 1997, he graduated from medical school. In the same year, he passed the TUS exam and started working as a cardiology assistant at Koşuyolu Heart and Research Hospital. He also successfully passed the ECFMG exams.
In 1998, he received the ECFMG certificate and received invitations from some Internal Medicine clinics in the United States. In the same year, he took the TUS exam again and started specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in October.
In June 2003, he became a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology and started working at Özel Antalya IVF Center.
In 2004, he worked as an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist at SSK Zonguldak Regional Hospital.
Between 2005 and 2010, he worked at Özel Çapa Hospital.
In 2009, he completed the “Assisted Reproduction Techniques” certification training at VKV American Hospital.
In 2010, he worked as a chief resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital.
Between 2011 and 2023, he worked at Özel Çapa Hospital. During this period, he also served as a lecturer at Nişantaşı University, Faculty of Health Services Vocational School.
Since 2024, he has been providing services at his own clinic. He is proficient in English (scored 91 in KPDS, 210 in TOEFL), Russian (scored 75 in KPDS), and Bulgarian (scored 98 in KPDS). He is married and has two children.
