What is an Ovarian Cyst?

An ovarian cyst is a harmful formation that can occur inside or on the surface of the ovaries, containing body tissues such as hair, nails, and teeth. The follicle that develops into a cyst should normally contain a mature, healthy egg cell. However, in some cases, the follicle fails to rupture, preventing the release of the egg cell, leading to cyst formation.
