Labioplasty

Labioplasty, also known as labial rejuvenation, is a surgical procedure aimed at repairing the labia majora (outer lips) or the labia minora (inner lips) located just below the outer lips through surgical intervention.

Who is a Candidate for Labioplasty?

Labioplasty can be performed when the sagging of the labia in the genital area reaches a level that adversely affects the individual’s quality of life or when labioplasty becomes a medical necessity. If deemed appropriate by the physician, the surgical procedure can be performed on adult women of any age without any other medical condition that would contraindicate surgery. It can be performed for postpartum sagging as well as for women who have never given birth, seeking to regain their self-confidence through examination as labioplasty candidates.

Is There an Age Limit for Labioplasty?

There is no specific age limit; labioplasty can be performed on individuals whose quality of life has been affected by sagging of the inner lips or when the excessive sagging of the inner lips necessitates surgery, as deemed appropriate by the physician. The procedure can be performed on adult women over the age of 18, whether married or unmarried, whether they have given birth or not.

Like any surgical procedure, labioplasty should be performed by expert physicians in healthcare facilities equipped with necessary technological infrastructure, while prioritizing patient privacy and rights.
